Jan 15 2009: Meeting Recap

We had another GREAT meeting last Thursday. I always leave our Thursday meetings on a high and ready for a great day. We had another full house (though we missed Chris, our graphic artist who was at a music convention in Anaheim, NAMM.org), had some great guests and added TWO members to our chapter! For strong meetings in 2009, we are two for two, we're looking forward to our next meeting.

Guests are an important part of our meetings and we'd like to thank them for visiting:

* Liza - Dance Instructor
* Andrew - Handyman (5 escrow tips!)
* Erin - Hair Stylist (New member!)
* Paul - Florist ( New member! )
* Maria - General Contractor
* Rena - Banker (part of Sue's UB posse)
* Nancy - Mortgages (part of Sue's UB posse)

We had 12 tips and 4 escrow tips. The handyman category got a lot of escrow tips, showing the demand for that service. Llewellyn also passed out the tip reports - please fill out & return the dollar amount information so we can measure how much business our chapter is generating for our members.

During open networking, Rich presented his showboat table, highlighting the different projects and services provided by his software consulting company, Sage Tree Solutions. After everybody got a plate, Dr. Bakur got the meeting going with his acoustic rendition of the Beach Boy's Surfing Safari (don't forget he's really our chiropractor). Shane, our SEO expert, was presented with his official blue-velvet business card, lapel pin, and name badge. His official WINLeTip hat is still on its way.

Today's featured speaker, Allen Stovall (http://www.5element.org), spoke to the group about his acupuncture practice and how the mental, spiritual, and physical all work together for the overall health of the body. One aspect of Allen's style of acupuncture that separates him from others (on top of Western medicine) is that he spends the whole hour with his patients, unlike other styles of acupuncture where they just place the needles and leave you alone till the end of your session.

Next week Karen will be greeting everybody with a big smile, Jasmine will speak to us on how to help her business grow, and Allen will further educate us with his showboat table.

We are also VERY EXCITED that TWO NEW MEMBERS were unanimously voted in yesterday! Paul (619)299-6062 is our new florist and Erin (805) 901-9161 will be our new hair stylist. Welcome to the group guys! Members, please follow up with your escrow tips.

Thank you to everybody that participated in the raffle, and congratulations to the winners: Barbara (Health & Wellness) won a picture frame from Carol (Marketing) and a gift certificate from Debbie (Tailoring). Rich also won a free 30 minute massage from Allen.

Don't forget visitation is next week, where members will talk about their visitation partner instead of themselves.

Don't forget to invite your power partners and have a great week everybody!
Rich & Llewellyn

ps - We'd like to take this opportunity to encourage everybody to write down a 30 second commercial. Putting pen to paper makes it so much more concrete.
